The MACC has a history of attracting top students - both domestic and international, and this year is no exception. We are proud to announce that many of our students have been recognized for their efforts and abilities in their undergraduate and graduate work.

Vida Meidanshahi - Vida is the recipient of the Ontario Trillium Scholarship, a highly competitive award which covers the full cost of graduate school. The award is given only to a select few of the most promising international graduate students in the Province.
Jake Nease - Jake has been awarded a 2013-2014 Ontario Graduate Scholarship from the Provincial government given to top graduate students in Ontario to cover most of their research stipend. In addition, Jake's teaching excellence was twice recognized in 2013, with the Department of Chemical Engineering Teaching Award and was voted the #1 Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Engineering by the McMaster Student Union.
Matt Wallace - Matt received a 2013-2014 Ontario Graduate Scholarship for his work in reducing energy consumption of buildings by using optimization to build better control systems for vapor compression cycles.
Kyle Lefebvre - Kyle also received a 2013-2014 Ontario Graduate Scholarship based on his academic excellence as an undergraduate.
Yanan Cao - Yanan was also recognized with the 2013 Chemical Engineering Department Teaching Assistant Award for her contributions to the Advanced Laboratory Skills course in the use of chemical instrumentation and technology.
Yaser Khojasteh Salkuyeh - Yaser received the 2013 Shell Canada Research Fellowship for his work on the conceptual design of novel polygeneration systems which produce transportation fuels with zero CO2 emissions.
