30th MACC Meeting and Workshop

The 30th MACC Meeting and Workshop was held at the Art Gallery of Hamilton over May 15-17, 2018, and marked three decades of fruitful collaboration between MACC member companies, faculty, and students. New to the Annual Research Review Meeting on May 15 was a rapid-fire presentation session featuring each MACC graduate student's recent work.

The workshop on May 16-17 examined the theme of "Process Systems Engineering in a Changing World: State-of-the-Art and Future Directions", and featured presentations by the MACC faculty and representatives of member companies and visiting companies. As the keynote speaker, Prof. Costas Pantelides from Process Systems Enterprise and Imperial College London presented a forward-looking analysis of challenges and opportunities in process modeling. A lively panel discussion on data-driven decision-making in process operations featured five industrial representatives as panelists.

We'll see you again next year as the MACC launches into its fourth decade!
