The 33rd annual MACC Meeting and Workshop was held virtually over May 18-19, 2021, and was well attended by industry representatives and MACC alumni. The Annual Research Review Meeting on May 18 featured updates from each MACC research group and a rapid-fire presentation session highlighting each MACC graduate student's recent work. This year's workshop on May 19 was organized around the theme of "Enhancing Competitiveness of Industrial Process Operations", and featured several presentations by representatives of visiting companies. As the keynote speaker for the workshop, Prof. Victor Zavala from the University of Wisconsin spoke about stochastic optimization as a critical tool for industrial decision-making.
